This course will provide the healthcare providers with the knowledge and skills required to screen, diagnose and manage diabetic foot disease with the support of doctors.
By the end of this course, you will become enabled to provide high quality foot care to diabetes patients in the community.
Diabetes also can cause long-term complications in some people, including heart disease, stroke, vision impairment, and kidney damage.
Proper treatment can stop or control these diabetes symptoms and reduce the risk of long-term problems.

This course will give brief knowledge on the below aspects
Burden of diabetic foot in India
Etiopathogenesis of diabetic foot.
Evaluation of diabetic foot.
Screening and prevention of diabetic foot.
Dressings and wound management under guidance.
Management of diabetic foot ulcers with doctor’s guidance.
Two 1 hour (Total 2 hrs sessions online by Endocrinologists, Diabetes Educators & Dietitians

The Certificate Course in Diabetic Footcare aims to equip healthcare professionals to provide better footcare to diabetes patients.
Training will be given with the ability to understand the causes for diabetic foot ulcers, mechanism of foot ulceration in diabetes, screening for diabetic foot, and the skills needed for the management and prevention of foot ulcers in diabetes.
To support with skills and knowledge to deal with footcare in patients with Diabetes
To address the need for competent foot specialists in the community for prevention and promotion of foot care.
Module one will be towards providing with the basic knowledge about foot care in patients with diabetes.
Module two will be by the foot surgeon to support with the right knowledge of dealing with minor foot problems with support of doctors.
